Panosome is advancing antibody therapeutics by enabling highly specific targeting of small and structurally complex disease markers, such as peptide glycoforms and conformation-specific epitopes, which are largely inaccessible to conventional antibody discovery approaches.
Using our proprietary VAST platform, we exploit the unique surface coat of the trypanosome parasite to engage the T-independent arm of the immune system, allowing the generation of high-affinity monoclonal antibodies against these challenging, minimal targets.
Our first antibody, targeting fentanyl/carfentanil, successfully prevented overdose in mice and served as a proof of concept for our platform and approach.
Our lead program targets aberrantly glycosylated MUC-1, a tumor-associated antigen expressed in pancreatic, lung, and ovarian cancers - areas of high unmet medical need. By specifically targeting the S-Tn epitope of MUC-1, our antibody achieves high selectivity for tumor cells.
Panosome is advancing the MUC-1 antibody toward an antibody–drug conjugate (ADC), combining precise tumor targeting with potent cytotoxic payload delivery.
