Infertility affects approximately 17.5% of the adult population—roughly 1 in 6 worldwide. Despite advances in reproductive medicine, IVF outcomes remain poor, with success rates of just 43% for women under 30 and only 10% for those in their early 40s. Ovo Labs is pioneering first-in-class therapeutics to address the biggest bottleneck in IVF: poor egg quality. As women become older, their eggs deteriorate, leading to infertility and developmental disorders such as Down syndrome. Building on over two decades of expertise from its scientific founders, Ovo Labs is advancing its proprietary therapeutics (EP1-3) toward clinical trials, with the goal of rejuvenating the human egg.
We estimate that EP1-3 can increase IVF success rates by a factor of 3–5 for women over 35, reducing cost by enabling pregnancy with fewer treatment attempts. Extending reproductive longevity will also create a viable path to pregnancy for women in their early to mid-40s, improving patient outcomes and driving the growth of the fertility market.
